Sanderson, TX

Today was the most desolate section of the trip, from Marathon to Sanderson is 55 miles with nothing in between but mountains and railroad tracks. Upon arriving in Sanderson we found judge Leo's house on a tip from bike friend Jeremy who had camped out here. Leo and his wife Theresa have an amazing garden with a wide variety of vegetables. Leo offered us a ride tomorrow through a dangerous construction zone which will put up a day ahead and allow us to avoid the unseasonably hot forecasted 108 degree heat tomorrow. It is supposed to be only 80 on saturday so we took him up on the offer. We had some reservations about taking the ride but our favorite part of the trip has been meeting people and spending some time with them so we're up for anything! Tomorrow a picture of the garden.
