Photos from Sanderson, Texas to Kingston, New Mexico.

Pat gazes into the waters in Sanderson, Texas.

Pat and DD, a hitchhiker we met, enjoy breakfast in the
outdoor kitchen of our Marathon sleep-site.

Pat being dangerous on the roof!

Here's the bathroom in the Alpine, Tx library. The library
was located in a small old house. There were book spines
glued to the bathroom wall.

Outerspace as experienced at the Mcdonald Observatory
in the Davis Mountains. The days ride was very rigorous
so we treated ourselves with a trip to the moon.

We met a friendly rattlesnake in the middle of the
highway. I call his Nate the Snack. After hearing his rattle
a few times we prepared to flee while throwing stones
toward the snake so that it would move out of the road way.
We were successful! The snake slowly slithered away from
its morning nap.

The rattlesnake we met also looked like a pretzel. It was
about 3 feet long when it unraveled.

Leaving Kingston, we face off with a confused herd of
cattle. Pat makes a good cowboy and wrastles those cows
onto the shoulder.

Here is Dr. Pepper, a Kingston city resident who
non-chalantly roams the main street looking for his
owner.
