We are now in Rancho Mirage

After stopping in to check with the CHP to get advice on the best route we went towards Palm Springs where we ate lunch. Tonight we will stay in Indio with our couch surfing friends Andres and Patricia.

I used to live 5 minutes from there. Unbearable heat - 115 F was an average summer day.
