A trip to the Upper West Side

After two bike rides around Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan the past two days with Andrey who is visiting during a cross country road trip we took a trip to the upper west side to visit a friend. Later we took a trip to the Met where the highlight was a rooftop sculpture called 'Maelstrom'.

It is the end of summer, some days it is rainy, some days it is still hot and sunny. It is hard to update the blog because I an not at a computer very often but I an going to try to start taking more pictures.

Myrtle-Wyckoff

I am moving into a different apartment this weekend but I have been staying off of the Myrtle-Wyckoff subway station for a while now, it's been great!

Really tall bike on Myrtle, no need to lock it if nobody else can ride your bike...

At the local grocery store Food Bazaar there are displays that go all the way to the ceiling!

A Trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is on the Eastern edge of Prospect Park, "the Central Park of Brooklyn". On Tuesdays admission is free so we took a trip.
